For many companies their brochure is more than a vehicle to supply content, it also gives an impression of the company and where it sees itself in its field. The reader is going to hold, touch, feel and spend time considering what is in their hands and they will be making judgements. It is important to strike the right balance of thoughtful design and effective print so that the reader understands the values the company wants to convey.
I have designed brochures which cover a gamut of different printed formats including theatre programmes, technical handbooks and promotional literature. Their purposes may have been varied but the outcomes are the same: to represent the company in a positive light.
